Dinner with dancing candles :))

Hi there...Hope all had a wonderful V-day celebration with your loved ones. The chillness in the air moving away here slowly and the months are heading towards Spring/ Summer. Nice to see Spring plants are getting ready for the season with tender leaves and buds. In the last few weeks i have done few settings in our garden when the blooms were in their best. Also i must thank Barbra of 'French Ethereal' blog to feature my post 'An evening garden setting' in her share your style blog select. Once again thank you Barbara. I am really really overwhelmed.

Here is a garden setting again with the blooms for this week. My husband gathered and put all the flowering plants together so the idea of doing a setting in front of them came to me. Since Spring is arriving soon one can think of this arrangement in the garden with flowers around. The setting was done on a flat wooden garden trolley and it was covered with a thin white cloth. By placing a thin material one can experiment with different creases & folds to create a look. Carpet and cushions gives comfy seating. Placing of short and long candles creates a sort of candle dance when they are lit in the light breeze.

Get inspired and enjoy your garden setting among flowers, fresh fruits and dancing candles in the coming season.

V-day table for Two:)))

Love is in the air. To feel the saying and to get it going set an V-day table for two among the greenery on the terrace garden. The table was set next to an kumquat orange tree and placed few flowering pots near the table. The sun was going down and it was the right time to click the shots to get the feel of love. I loved arranging the mix of color on the table as V-day too a colorful day of the hearts💘. The flowers are blooms from our garden. It was an quick set table with fresh fruits, glass of juice from the oranges as it make a wonderful drink. Candles never get missed  on a V-day as candles make the day magical specially when it comes to table for two. Get inspired to set a table on the porch, back yard, front or on the terrace where ever you like to. Welcome and enjoy the day with family, friends and with your sweet hearts.

All about 'Slow Gardening":)))

There is a significant subject in the air in recent time about slow living, slow cooking , slow gardening, slow travel etc etc ...where most of the people around the world have adopted to slow living in the pandemic years. 'Slow living' a lifestyle that encourages a slower approach to everyday life, could be said relaxed or leisurely lifestyle. After the pandemic and lock down people started to take up slow living lifestyle and enjoying it.

While talking about gardening, my husband is lover of plants. He is a Bonsai enthusiast and have created number of Bonsai plants over thirty five years. After his retirement and shifting to our own state his involvement with gardening has become more intense and tries his hand in all sorts of gardening from growing flowers, veggies, fruits, herbs to succulents  beside his enthusiasm  for Bonsai. Our gardening is mostly container gardening on the terrace. Our lifestyle has become more or less like 'slow living' since our children are away and when it comes to gardening it is 'slow gardening' as well.

Everyone knows what gardening gives a person when involved with it. For some it is a hobby and for many it becomes life long passion.'And to some business as well.

Slow gardening' is a philosophical approach to gardening which includes participants to savour everything they do. Like embracing the seasons, finding enjoyment in the garden at all times of the year. More important getting connected to the natural world.

We enjoy our garden by seeing seasonal blooms, veggies, fruits, herbs as well sharing the reaps with neighbours.

Slow gardening will inspire you to slip into rhythm of the seasons. Take slow gardening easy and get more enjoyment of it.
