Decor in Kitchen:)))

Few things in life are more pleasurable than whiling away, creating a decor with freshly picked flowers from the garden for an eye feast is always welcoming. This is spur of a decor in the kitchen.A basket full  flowers of red hanging haliconia, lilies, tiny red crown of thorns and few water apples & red chillies from our garden helped me in creating this decor in the kitchen. Flowers will look simply stunning and impressively authentic however you display them. Few days ago painted  mini shaped chop boards with veggie drawings of chillies & lemon, painted them with acrylic paints and hanged them as kitchen decor. A simple decor of any kind any where at home do so much to lift the look and feel of a space. No limit to your imagination and playing with creativity is always fun.  Please visit Karins Kottage Please visit nap on the porch Please visit Stroll thru Life Please visit Our Hopeful Home

My encounter with Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas blooms are rare in our warm region unless you find them in chilly hilly areas. Recently visiting a nursery i was surprised to find full bloomed potted Pink, white and light blue Hydrangeas. Without a second thought i picked them up as i have always admired them in table setting photos and in floral decors. The blooms looked fresh and pretty, bringing them home i did a table-setting with Blue-wares to match them for a summer styling. The mini desert cups are my recent buy from Clay and glaze studio pottery makers who deal with all sorts of potteries. The tiny cups added charm to the setting along with vintage ice cream cups footed bowls. Please visit Nap on the Porch Please visit our hopeful Home Please visit French Enthreal

Summer setting with Hydrangeas:)

Summer is here, a time to entertain guests or to have 'me time'relaxing all by yourself. Sometime we settle for the safe option by having a simple decor around. If it is so you can think to find something you love and then run with it like making small changes instantly to refresh your porch , veranda, balcony, cosy corner  or near the bay window to create a decorative space with floor cushions, light throws which will bring a sense of joy for you/friends to relax.  It's hot summer for us and did a small set up in our balcony with floor  cushions and with a floral printed cloth. Potted Hydrangeas added beauty to the setting. Ice creams and fruit punches are compliments of the season and adding them just enjoyable.    It's mango season here in our region and they make every part of our dish from curries, chutneys to desserts till the season gets over. Sharing a simple easy to make mango ice cream recipe here to beat the heat.  Recipe..... 2 ripe mangoes, 1 cup heavy cr
