A Scape With The Lotus....:):)

In most cold countries, at the time when it looks like winter will never come to an end, the sight of cheerful delicate flowers like Daffodils, reminds us of the resurgence of natural life that is beginning just outside the window.
The freshness of Spring is perhaps best expressed with the colours of soft Yellows, Greens, Blues and White. Keeping that in mind while making a table for two, I used a touch of Copper-sulphate  Blue, White and basketful of Eggs for the season most delightful.
The flowers I arranged in the vase here are the beautiful white Lotus. The Lotus is a sacred flower in some Eastern countries and is the national flower of India. It is a beautiful sight to see several of them float in a Lotus pond & is a special delight to find beautiful Lotus and Lily ponds in the interior villages of Southern India.

The Lotus flower is the symbol of Purity, Faith and Hope because although it grows from within the muck of water, it  blooms into a gorgeous flower and it sustains to adverse weather conditions. The flower has captured the hearts of numerous poets. Though I am not a poet who could write about this flower, I was happy to do a scape with the beautiful Lotus flower, a flower which is of hope or rebirth...

Spring with younger hope than ever ....

It is wonderful to see the beautiful spring table posts in everyone's blogs. It's a delight to see the soothing greens, the pretty pinks, the cheerful yellow flowers dominate the scenes, with cute bunnies hopping around.. :):)

I have created a tea scape here with beautiful mini cups & a little green touch added to show spring is here to say hello to us .. These beautiful cups and saucers were a gift from my long time friend Padmini with whom I have shared fun and laughter through the years. Friendship's a fantastic feeling when you share it with fantastic friends. There are also so many beautiful friends I found in blog land too and I am thankful to each and everyone for their love. My thanks to Alycia Nichols who enjoys seeing the work of various bloggers from around the world and mentioned my blog in her recent post Moss & Manzanitas.

-- Which is a memorable gift that you received? Better still, what is the best gift you ever gave? Perhaps you will recall that in each instance, the best gift was one that was tied with the heartstrings of the giver, one that included a part of the self --

 Thank You for Your Visit....
