My Kitchen Tale...:):)

Hello there! Happy to be back & meet y'all after a little gap. The hot, humid weather over here has finally came to an end with a heavy downpour wetting the dry land and energizing it.

I'd like to start this session of blogging with the topic 'Kitchen'. Well ... the kitchen though less spoken about, is in fact one of the most important places in a home. What does a kitchen really mean to a woman?? Not only is it the place where delicious food prepared, it is the one spot where you kick start and end each day of your life.

Every woman would love to have a dream kitchen and I am no exception to it. When redesigning our kitchen a few years ago I was determined to have a modern, elegant and easy to care kitchen. It was at a time when darker versions of the kitchen were not so popular. I had a lot of ideas and inspiration in mind, but I finally decided to adopt a grey palette to adorn my kitchen. It was quite the experience for me to develop my ideas and enjoyed every bit of it, from selecting the fittings, to choosing the grey matte finish veneer for cabinets and a dark beautiful granite for the work top which gave it an elegant look. The Spanish grey tiles which I fell in love with, run all along the wall, and adds charm to the whole look. I used a vent and a five burner hob manufactured by Faber.

I love my kitchen and of course preparing and serving food with love is always one thing I have strongly believed in.

......Happy Cooking! :) :)

  8. You are right about the kitchen being an important place in the house and there's no reason why it shouldn't have the same special attention as any other room. You've given yours just that.

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M...

Coffee in the Bedroom

The bedroom, the place where we spend one-third of our life, is a special place indeed and it holds all the beautiful possibilities that we wake up to early in the morning. Enjoying coffee in bed along with reading the newspaper is something one looks forward to & it is a wonderful feeling after a hard days work too. Like many I love the smell and taste of coffee made from a Peculator, and it is also easy and quick to prepare coffee with. Having coffee in bed, along with breakfast on a Sunday morning makes you feel fresh, something that every heart would wish for. Presenting a coffee scape from my bedroom on an early Sunday morning & enjoy your cuppa. Please do visit Cusine Kathleen Please do visit A Delightsome LIfe
