White & Silver Table Scape....:):)

There was excitement in the air when Kathleen announced her 'All white' table challenge for 31st July's 'Let's Dish'. White sets a tone of elegance and sophistication.

Creating a white table for the presentation was exciting for me. I used a shiny white inlay tablecloth and white dishes for the setting.
The other little touch for the table is silver. Silver being a white metal, I used a traditional silver flower basket (the basket is used for carrying flowers to the temple) for arranging red flowers as center piece.

A beautifully carved  small silver casket with the pictures of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan(Taj Mahal fame) took it's place as a tooth pick holder on the table.

Thanks Kathleen, for hosting the White Challenge Party.

  4. I was loving it already, and then you lit the candles. Oh wow! I really love it, it's celestial looking or something like that. I love the silver cups along with the crystal, and the way your napkin sits in the setting makes it look as if it's floating. This was truly beautiful.

  15. You have exquisite pieces but that something-more is brough by your personal touch... I was marveled with your tablescape and the beautiful details in it but when candles' pictures appeared I was overwhelmed by the beauty it enhances. Candles bring out of the best of things and you play and photograph it wonderfully.
So glad to visit your blog and be swept away by the whimsy you create.
    Love,
    Teresa

200th post at Crystal Grandeur!

This is my 200th post at Crystal Grandeur!  As a profound blogger it is a moment of joy for me as well.   It has been a wonderful journey all along.  Crystal Grandeur blossomed in November 2011 with Diwali & Christmas decors and it is my small world where my imagination and creations comes to reality.  I admire some of the blogs crossing 400+ posts. I appreciate and thank them for influencing others to do the same.  Speaking of my love for decors and styling I enjoy exploring different aesthetics and incorporate them in my decors and tablescapes. It helps me to keep moving forward  with new and fresh ideas  and doesn't let me be stagnant to one particular style.    For a nostalgia kick i share with you all... my delightful moments at Crystal Grandeur. Receiving appreciation for your creation in the form of comments always touches ones heart. (Sharing some of my past posts sweet comments posted by dear readers from across...

Festive Give Away:)))

Season Fall is to arrive soon and the season has its own charm in providing us with plenty of seasonal specials. Oranges are best during Fall and they last from beginning of Fall to end of Winter. In our garden plenty of Calamondin oranges started to appear and the fresh smell of the citrus in the air so soothing.  Plucked few of them and made marmalade from the ripen oranges for the morning toast. Also a good idea to make marmalade when the oranges are plenty, fill them in cute little bottles, tie with a ribbon/card and gift it when there is a Fall party or for Thanks giving & festive occasions. Its easy and quick to make and my way of preparing the recipe is given right here.  Cut the calamondin orange to half, remove the pulp and the skin separately. While removing the pulp take away the seeds. Squeeze out the juice from the pulp using a thin cloth . Cut the skin to thin stripes.  Put a heavy bottom pan on the stove and keep on low flame. (For one glass of ju...
