200th post at Crystal Grandeur!

This is my 200th post at Crystal Grandeur! As a profound blogger it is a moment of joy for me as well. It has been a wonderful journey all along. Crystal Grandeur blossomed in November 2011 with Diwali & Christmas decors and it is my small world where my imagination and creations comes to reality.

I admire some of the blogs crossing 400+ posts. I appreciate and thank them for influencing others to do the same.

Speaking of my love for decors and styling I enjoy exploring different aesthetics and incorporate them in my decors and tablescapes. It helps me to keep moving forward with new and fresh ideas and doesn't let me be stagnant to one particular style.

For a nostalgia kick i share with you all... my delightful moments at Crystal Grandeur. Receiving appreciation for your creation in the form of comments always touches ones heart. (Sharing some of my past posts sweet comments posted by dear readers from across the globe)

Hello Sujatha,I am simply mesmerized at the sheer elegance and the majesty of such a gorgeously beautiful extensive floral display at your equally lovely home and I cannot thank you enough to give to your viewers like me this great and wonderful opportunity to enjoy this marvelous presentation that delights the eye and the fundamental human sense to appreciate nature's beauty. I have never seen a more gorgeous and more aesthetically beautiful / pleasing floral or any other presentation as eye catching and as appealing as this one from you.

Oh, this lovely space looks like it was styled for a magazine! I would love, love to sit and read a book here - it is definitely cozy, but so elegant! Those beautiful goblets caught my eye and the rug is wonderful. I have a reading nook, but it needs some work - I need to get busy!!

Sujatha - I love sunflowers. I think this table is great (so was last's week's sunflower table) - and I especially love the flatware. It looks like wooden handles?? They go so well with the dinner plate (and in the picture, it looks like a sort of marble. Pat and I have spent the last hour on the phone discussing your blog this week. We both love it and can't decide what the plate is made of. Don't mind us - we get pretty "wacky" when it comes to neat tables....)

Ooo...Wow all that sounds great!!! I express my word of thanks to all the people who stop over to leave a comment for me.

I wish to continue and share in blog sphere my new ideas, tips on recipes & gardening, tables capes, travel, home tours, festive celebrations and also with seasonal updates. Not to forget to mention and thank all the bloggers for hosting link parties, their encouraging words and also for mentioning and featuring my page Crystal Grandeur in their blogs.

It is a honor for me to do posts for  Laurel & wolf and Parachute Home on their request.

                                                   Happy blogging as always:))))

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M

Falling in Love with Fall

Learning is always the best thing to do in life. To learn all about fall and the things associated with this time of year was informative and enjoyable. Fall can be romantic and poetic with the change of colours & with the first frost and falling leaves. The season is all about the display of colors in nature & about fruits like Plump Pumpkins, Red Berries, Nuts, Ornamental Gourds, Rosy Pomegranates, along with Apples, Pears, decorative coloured cabbage & pretty-frilled leaves. Other things include welcoming wreaths, sturdy baskets, potpourri, wooden trugs, pottery bowls jugs, pitchers & terracotta pots.Copper and brass add charm to the season. Colours most used in Fall include burnt orange, green, golds, browns, reds, pinks, rich mauves and so on. I have given a finishing touch to this corner with the elements of Fall and it looked beautiful.                                      Thank you for your visit:):)
