A coffees cape with a fashion talk:)

It's easy to while away morning and evening hours of a holiday with a cup of hot coffee or tea near the bay window if the weather permits. The weather is affable here these days after we experiencing hot & humid days of summer. What better way to enjoy your morning coffee all by yourself with a touch of flash back.

The other day a coffee setting near the window reminisced my student days in a fashion design institute at Bombay. Going down the memory lane of almost twenty three years brought back the sweet memories of fun & laughter in the institute. It's wonderful to learn about seasons colors & fashion with style, cuts, fabrics, necklines, prints, red carpet fashion, acclaimed international & desi designers and so on. Projects done on Coco channel & Christian Dior was pleasure as well. Me being a mother of two kids enjoyed my everyday home work along with them by painting and designing a crocky. The subject on fashion is vast and my mantra on dressing sense lies in the cut & texture of a fabric and also suiting ones body structure. Nothing compares to a beautiful elegant dressing style. Let's enjoy the fashion and dressing...:)

  1. What a lovely setting my friend and yes, I love some coffee to reminisce all times, specially when you were in school of fashion design. I too often remember when I worked as a Fashion Coordinator in NYC.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  5. Great post, the drawings are wonderful. I also loved seeing your meal, when I look at it, it reminds me to slow down and enjoy my breakfast a bit more instead of trying to do 1,000 things a day.

    Beautiful!

200th post at Crystal Grandeur!

This is my 200th post at Crystal Grandeur!  As a profound blogger it is a moment of joy for me as well.   It has been a wonderful journey all along.  Crystal Grandeur blossomed in November 2011 with Diwali & Christmas decors and it is my small world where my imagination and creations comes to reality.  I admire some of the blogs crossing 400+ posts. I appreciate and thank them for influencing others to do the same.  Speaking of my love for decors and styling I enjoy exploring different aesthetics and incorporate them in my decors and tablescapes. It helps me to keep moving forward  with new and fresh ideas  and doesn't let me be stagnant to one particular style.    For a nostalgia kick i share with you all... my delightful moments at Crystal Grandeur. Receiving appreciation for your creation in the form of comments always touches ones heart. (Sharing some of my past posts sweet comments posted by dear readers from across...

Festive Give Away:)))

Season Fall is to arrive soon and the season has its own charm in providing us with plenty of seasonal specials. Oranges are best during Fall and they last from beginning of Fall to end of Winter. In our garden plenty of Calamondin oranges started to appear and the fresh smell of the citrus in the air so soothing.  Plucked few of them and made marmalade from the ripen oranges for the morning toast. Also a good idea to make marmalade when the oranges are plenty, fill them in cute little bottles, tie with a ribbon/card and gift it when there is a Fall party or for Thanks giving & festive occasions. Its easy and quick to make and my way of preparing the recipe is given right here.  Cut the calamondin orange to half, remove the pulp and the skin separately. While removing the pulp take away the seeds. Squeeze out the juice from the pulp using a thin cloth . Cut the skin to thin stripes.  Put a heavy bottom pan on the stove and keep on low flame. (For one glass of ju...
