Setting a stage for Festive spotlight:)))

We live in a unsettled times with pandemic here to stay with us for some more time. No one is sure about India China face off or how US presidential election turn to be. We keep looking at the negative side of the on going economic crisis. Everywhere it's about job loss, pay cuts, organizations shutting down....And whom to blame for?  Yet slowly there is something changing with in us. We are beginning to rethink about our life style. Rich or poor, gradually our thoughts are turning inwards towards our families towards our home towards taking full control of our lives & our lifestyle.

Acknowledging how reckless life has been so far in the last seven months, have started making dramatic changes, the one we talk about here are the ones that affect our homes and our lives in a positive manner. As the season meant for festivities never mind what the situation, celebrations are here to stay, inspire and to celebrate with joy. How do we make ourselves festive enough to survive the festivities?

Take a moment to quietly enjoy a few of the pleasures you know you can count on-whether it's spending time with family, more and more people are warming up to the idea of entertaining at home. People are learning to sit across the table in small groups to have fun, relax having bonding between families/friends. What this mean for the host and hostess of the house? The living room spaces which where not used and occasionally entertained in, is now being spruced up. People who enjoy entertaining during festivities looking at their spaces as viable option for gathering adding festive special effects with scented candles, floral arrangements, spreading a colorful rug on the floor and adding comfy throw cushions to the L-couch. As it is understood accessorizing is a good idea, now is the time to do it with less fuss forgetting the covid.

Entertaining at home during festivities means more cook-ins too, and to revisit family traditional recipes . The menu with sweets make and cake bakes sure to excite and entertain everyone.

It is not only about the cooking but setting a beautiful table for family and for invited guests benefits in several ways. Invest a good amount of thought in dressing up a table. Your personal touch and taste should reflect the setting. Depending upon your theme freshly cut flowers, handwritten name card or on green leaf added, glass container with petal speckled water placed within a napkin ring adds a special touch. When it comes to crockeries contrasting cheerful colors like fiery orange and Indigo blues gives a adventures look. The age group of your guests helps you decide the palette. For younger more effervescent, the older the most elegant.

Serving  your loved ones genuinely makes one happy and in the end you can give no greater gift to your family and friends or for that matter to yourself.

A table styling here with the color combination of Blue & Orange, wild alovera flowers and the bird of paradise napkin fold gives the table a adorable/appealing look and the new season Fall's feel as well.

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
