The season of Love is all around. It's in everyone's heart's & minds, and all must have thoughts of how best to prepare and celebrate for Valentine's Day
As the colours Red, Pink and Purple take the front seat as the month arrives with a bang, a thought of presenting a scape with Blue and White came to my mind.. It resulted in using my blue lamps, tiny blue vases and naturally dried long leaves, with my blue ware dishes which I received as a gift from my nephew when I visited USA in the late 90's. I enjoy using these dishes once in while for their beautiful printed flowers.
Hope you like it

Good morning, Sujatha!!! Well, it's morning here in Lee's Summit, MO, U.S.A.! I got a good night's sleep, and I'm ready to tackle the day! I hope you are, too!!! I am just fascinated by your centerpiece on this table!!! Those leaves!!!!!!! They look like beautiful leaf skeletons! I have seen much smaller leaves dried that way, but never any so tall and graceful as yours!!! They are a wonderful accent to your blue & white table! I like the blue & white lanterns, too. I think it's neat that your nephew gifted you with those dainty dishes when you visited the U.S.! I hope you had a good time when you visited here. In the 15+ years since you were here, a lot has changed but much is still the same. I live smack dab in the middle of the nation, and not much ever changes here! :-) I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Take care!!!
ReplyDeletelove the pretty feathers and dishes, but, the blue lamps are my favorite:) have a great weekend, sujatha!
ReplyDeleteThose blue lamps my friend, are making me swoon!! You have the most beautiful elements to set a gorgeous table and I like the gift dishes from your generous nephew...he knows you, ha! I'm still working on my Valentines table. Thank you for coming, I love it when you do. Enjoy your weekend.

Afternoon Sujatha! I'm just back from the Flower Shop and it is snowing like crazy! I am fascinated by your large dried leaves. many years ago I lived in Hawaii, and I had some success drying them like that but not in Ohio!Your table is beautiful, blues are my favorite on a table. I also noticed how your silverware is placed upside down. I like that very much! Mind if I try that? Huggs, Dianna
