A Cosy Nook for you..:):)

Ask anyone about the best & their favorite place in the house - and they'd probably show you the cosy nook of their house. Most cosy corners are under the staircase or near a bay window. A simple arrangement to the nook can add charm to your decor and give you a place to sit, relax and enjoy your space.

I'm sharing here, my cosy corner from our extended living room. Converting the balcony by closing it with a bay window - it turned  the open place to a compact functional and comfortable area for reading and listening to music. One portion of it possesses a bar unit.

This corner is featured in many of my posts but this is different from the usual setting.

India is known for it's world famous carpets and rugs and I have used a colorful shaggy rug on the floor to show the warmth and add some artistry. Sometimes a rug or a carpet with the right Color, Size and Shape can be a key piece to a room decor and can beautify the room.

Be it alone or with a friend, in any season, time well spent in a cosy corner with hot coffee tea or fresh juice is fun and spells of a good time.

The most enjoyable moments to me, in my cosy nook are, when the rain water streams down the window pane. It's like slipping away for a cool dip. Hope you too like my cosy nook and thanks for visiting my corner.....:):):)

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. My second son Capt Siddharth and sweet Saumya tied the knot on 16th Feb. The wedding was a grand event with both the families coming together to bless the wonderful couple. Sharing few photos of the wedding in the blog- post today with rest of you all.:)))   Please visit Nap on the porch

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
