A Table for you and your Mother....:):)

Wishing everyone a 'Happy Mother's Day.A great way to start Mother's Day celebration is by setting a charming table for your Mother and your  family.I have created a table and dedicated it to all the beautiful Mothers in this post of mine on Mother's day.A table with pleasing soft palette of white with mix of  green and yellow that looked pretty and cool.A small milk white pot contains a simple pastel colored floral arrangement in the center to compliment the whole setting.
Mangoes are one of the joys of Indian summer.Placing some fresh cut yellow mangoes in a cup looks delicious and a nice way to start the celebration.Hope you like my table and thank you for your visit.

A small note to all those who miss their Mother on this day:
Your Mother is always with you....She's the whisper of leaves as you walk down the street. She's the smell of  perfume on your freshly laundered cloths. She's the cool hand on your brow when you are not well.Your mother lives inside your laughter. She's crystallized in every teardrop. She's the place you came from, your first home. She's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love and your first heartbreak and nothing on the earth can separate you.Not time, not space...not even death.A mother like ours is more than a memory, she is a living presence...!!!!!!

  1. Happy Mother's Day, Ms. S...

Thank you for coming and drop by D´Box, recently.

Your setting is so cozy and really a dear one. I just wish, I could sit and chat with you and having a sweet time together. India is too far for a tea for 2, right? But thanks for our blogs we still can share the moments in thoughts.

Have a great week ahead and take care.

    Hugs,

  10. What a sweet and loving tribute to Mothers everywhere, Sujatha! I am so fortunate that my Mother is still living and going strong at 85 years young! Ramon and I were at her house yesterday for Sunday dinner, and she was just bouncing around like a teenager. No slowing her down!!!

I don't think I've ever tasted a fresh mango. They are sold in the stores and open air markets here, but I've always been afraid to buy one for fear I wouldn't care for it. I did get to taste mango juice yesterday at my Mom's house, though, and it was delicious!!! We went to the store to buy more of it right away since we liked it so much! Maybe now I'll get brave enough to taste the fresh fruit!

This is a beautifully set table, and you really did Mothers everywhere a great justice! I hope you have a wonderful week!!!

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. SCENTED POTPOURRI AND NATURALLY DRIED LEAVES ADD TO THE OCCASION.    GO AHEAD AND CREATE AN INVITING DECOR FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO ADD TO THE FESTIVE SPIRIT   A WINDOW LEDGE TRANSFORMED WITH THE ONSET OF THE FESTIVE FERVOUR.THIS IS A WINDOW DRESSING FOR DIWALI   CREATE AND TRANSFORM THE SPACE AND LEAVE AN EPHEMERAL IMPRINT THE RUSTIC AND ETHNIC LOOK OF THE LAMPS. LOTUS BUDS ADD TO THE BEAUTY.

A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. My second son Capt Siddharth and sweet Saumya tied the knot on 16th Feb. The wedding was a grand event with both the families coming together to bless the wonderful couple. Sharing few photos of the wedding in the blog- post today with rest of you all.:)))   Please visit Nap on the porch

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
