A New Year Tale

Hello....It's New year and new you. Beginning of new year brings lot of good feelings and everyone have something new for them. Last couple of weeks after new year was totally a busy week for me... fighting for a social cause... woman right and succeeding in it, celebrating our harvest festival, to be called as a judge for a competition, visiting a tiny village to witness the cattle festival and to celebrate my birth day with family. All kept me busy. Ooops finally I'm happy to put my back to rest and make a tiny teascape for myself. This is my first post  this year at Crystal grandeur. This setting near my bay window was created keeping in mind for a complete relaxation with right center piece for a evening tea. The white tea set and the pretty yellow flowers in a shell looked soothing.

I am happy to be back once again with you all in 2016. Thank you.

  5. There is, indeed, something soothing in a white set. When the pic of this creation appeared in my blog sidebar I was looking at pictures of the snow storm in the USA and I instantly felt the power of your creation. Soothing but in a happy and vibrant way with those gorgeous orange flowers.
Well done Sujatha. ^May the New Year be glorious to you and your family and home.

200th post at Crystal Grandeur!

This is my 200th post at Crystal Grandeur!  As a profound blogger it is a moment of joy for me as well.   It has been a wonderful journey all along.  Crystal Grandeur blossomed in November 2011 with Diwali & Christmas decors and it is my small world where my imagination and creations comes to reality.  I admire some of the blogs crossing 400+ posts. I appreciate and thank them for influencing others to do the same.  Speaking of my love for decors and styling I enjoy exploring different aesthetics and incorporate them in my decors and tablescapes. It helps me to keep moving forward  with new and fresh ideas  and doesn't let me be stagnant to one particular style.    For a nostalgia kick i share with you all... my delightful moments at Crystal Grandeur. Receiving appreciation for your creation in the form of comments always touches ones heart. (Sharing some of my past posts sweet comments posted by dear readers from across...

Festive Give Away:)))

Season Fall is to arrive soon and the season has its own charm in providing us with plenty of seasonal specials. Oranges are best during Fall and they last from beginning of Fall to end of Winter. In our garden plenty of Calamondin oranges started to appear and the fresh smell of the citrus in the air so soothing.  Plucked few of them and made marmalade from the ripen oranges for the morning toast. Also a good idea to make marmalade when the oranges are plenty, fill them in cute little bottles, tie with a ribbon/card and gift it when there is a Fall party or for Thanks giving & festive occasions. Its easy and quick to make and my way of preparing the recipe is given right here.  Cut the calamondin orange to half, remove the pulp and the skin separately. While removing the pulp take away the seeds. Squeeze out the juice from the pulp using a thin cloth . Cut the skin to thin stripes.  Put a heavy bottom pan on the stove and keep on low flame. (For one glass of ju...
