Throw Back glimepses of Christmas:)

'An another year has gone by. The year going by has taught us many lessons. What we should be doing and what we should not be doing. The pleasure and the pain brought us some depth. The pandemic years has been challenging for the entire world. The joy gave us a new vision of life and hope for the future. Life is a journey with highs and lows, the best way to live it is by accepting it, as not to get bogged down by pains & challenges. Live life as it meant to be standing your ground firmly.

It is always wonderful to have  'Me time'.(widely spoken subject these days) Self- acceptance is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. The only person who can make you happy is 'You'. Accept yourself, love yourself, and do the things you like to keep moving forward in life.

While I tell about myself in this closing year....I completed Ten years in blog-land almost completing 350 posts. Indeed a wonderful journey of happiness in this space. When I have put my passion into blogging I tried to be good at whatever I was doing. I felt whatever we do in life, do it with great passion.

Sharing here throw back shots of 2021 Christmas looks I created and ending the year with a happy note at CG.

Let 2022 bring in lot of sunshine. Let us create a violence-free, stress-free society and move towards a better world. Time changes people but there are people who change time. May you be one of them.

Wishing everyone 'A Happy New Year'

200th post at Crystal Grandeur!

This is my 200th post at Crystal Grandeur!  As a profound blogger it is a moment of joy for me as well.   It has been a wonderful journey all along.  Crystal Grandeur blossomed in November 2011 with Diwali & Christmas decors and it is my small world where my imagination and creations comes to reality.  I admire some of the blogs crossing 400+ posts. I appreciate and thank them for influencing others to do the same.  Speaking of my love for decors and styling I enjoy exploring different aesthetics and incorporate them in my decors and tablescapes. It helps me to keep moving forward  with new and fresh ideas  and doesn't let me be stagnant to one particular style.    For a nostalgia kick i share with you all... my delightful moments at Crystal Grandeur. Receiving appreciation for your creation in the form of comments always touches ones heart. (Sharing some of my past posts sweet comments posted by dear readers from across...

Festive Give Away:)))

Season Fall is to arrive soon and the season has its own charm in providing us with plenty of seasonal specials. Oranges are best during Fall and they last from beginning of Fall to end of Winter. In our garden plenty of Calamondin oranges started to appear and the fresh smell of the citrus in the air so soothing.  Plucked few of them and made marmalade from the ripen oranges for the morning toast. Also a good idea to make marmalade when the oranges are plenty, fill them in cute little bottles, tie with a ribbon/card and gift it when there is a Fall party or for Thanks giving & festive occasions. Its easy and quick to make and my way of preparing the recipe is given right here.  Cut the calamondin orange to half, remove the pulp and the skin separately. While removing the pulp take away the seeds. Squeeze out the juice from the pulp using a thin cloth . Cut the skin to thin stripes.  Put a heavy bottom pan on the stove and keep on low flame. (For one glass of ju...
