All about 'Slow Gardening":)))

There is a significant subject in the air in recent time about slow living, slow cooking , slow gardening, slow travel etc etc ...where most of the people around the world have adopted to slow living in the pandemic years. 'Slow living' a lifestyle that encourages a slower approach to everyday life, could be said relaxed or leisurely lifestyle. After the pandemic and lock down people started to take up slow living lifestyle and enjoying it.

While talking about gardening, my husband is lover of plants. He is a Bonsai enthusiast and have created number of Bonsai plants over thirty five years. After his retirement and shifting to our own state his involvement with gardening has become more intense and tries his hand in all sorts of gardening from growing flowers, veggies, fruits, herbs to succulents  beside his enthusiasm  for Bonsai. Our gardening is mostly container gardening on the terrace. Our lifestyle has become more or less like 'slow living' since our children are away and when it comes to gardening it is 'slow gardening' as well.

Everyone knows what gardening gives a person when involved with it. For some it is a hobby and for many it becomes life long passion.'And to some business as well.

Slow gardening' is a philosophical approach to gardening which includes participants to savour everything they do. Like embracing the seasons, finding enjoyment in the garden at all times of the year. More important getting connected to the natural world.

We enjoy our garden by seeing seasonal blooms, veggies, fruits, herbs as well sharing the reaps with neighbours.

Slow gardening will inspire you to slip into rhythm of the seasons. Take slow gardening easy and get more enjoyment of it.

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M...

Coffee in the Bedroom

The bedroom, the place where we spend one-third of our life, is a special place indeed and it holds all the beautiful possibilities that we wake up to early in the morning. Enjoying coffee in bed along with reading the newspaper is something one looks forward to & it is a wonderful feeling after a hard days work too. Like many I love the smell and taste of coffee made from a Peculator, and it is also easy and quick to prepare coffee with. Having coffee in bed, along with breakfast on a Sunday morning makes you feel fresh, something that every heart would wish for. Presenting a coffee scape from my bedroom on an early Sunday morning & enjoy your cuppa. Please do visit Cusine Kathleen Please do visit A Delightsome LIfe
