Dinner with dancing candles :))

Hi there...Hope all had wonderful V-day celebration with your loved ones. The chillness in the air moving away here slowly and the months are heading towards Spring/ Summer. Nice to see Spring plants are getting ready for the season with tender leaves and buds. In the last few weeks i have done few settings in our garden when the blooms were in their best. Also i must thank Barbra of 'French Ethereal' blog to feature my post 'An evening garden setting' in her share your style blog select. Once again thank you Barbara. I am really really overwhelmed.

Here is a garden setting again with the blooms for this week. My husband gathered and put all the flowering plants together so the idea of doing a setting in front of them came to me. Since Spring is arriving soon one can think of this arrangement in the garden with flowers around. The setting was done on a flat wooden garden trolley and it was covered with a thin white cloth. By placing a thin material one can experiment with different creases & folds to create a look. Carpet and cushions gives comfy seating. Placing of short and long candles creates a sort of candle dance when they are lit in the light breeze.

Get inspired and enjoy your garden setting among flowers, fresh fruits and dancing candles in the coming season.

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
