Hello everyone....Nice to get back to the scene to meet you all with a table decor after a small absence. It's wonderful to arrange a table by the bay window on a bright day along with a vase containing the irresistible yellow Lilies. The Lilies were my inspiration for the table and I know the colour along with the scent creates a nostalgic atmosphere and it conveys too that the summer has not yet gone.
It's always a pleasure using the soft green palette for the table. The bowls are my very old buy and I am happy to use them here for the setting. My long time desire was to do a table with corns and I could full fill it in this table scape. The beautiful light green vase is a gift from my friend who visited and met me after a gap of ten years.

OMG, I could swear your dishes look like the antique ones I inherited from my dear Mil, but I know they are not! What a beautiful and serene table dear Sujatha, I so love all of it! The flowers are gorgeous and so elegant for this setting. The corn holders are adorable, I just have plastic ones for my g'girls that resemble little corns, lol! The cut glass stems are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're back, I have missed you! I was so happy to see you visit!
Hugs,

What a beautiful table! I love all the history and the warm yellows. Everything looks so inviting...love the flowers and color combinations! I'm glad you're back!
ReplyDeletei love your pretty floral bowls mixed the green plates, sujatha! the lace at the window makes a lovely background, too:) have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi again, Sujatha! I really, really, really like this tablescape! The lilies may be the inspiration, but what you did with all of the other elements that surround them is wonderful! You really make this table shine!
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean about the colors of this tablescape going so well with the ears of corn! There is something inherently beautiful about an ear of corn. We had some for dinner tonight, and I played with it for awhile before eating it. It's just nature's perfect vegetable! I have learned to prepare ours in the microwave oven with the husk still on it. After about 4 minutes, it's all ready to eat and the husk & silks just fall right off! So much easier for me! I need to get some of those little corn holders like you have...it would make eating the hot corn so much less painful! :-)
This is a soft, pretty setting. I hope you enjoyed every bite of your meal, every sip of your tea, and every memory made here around the table. Have a wonderful week!
