The lightness of Summer..A Tangy Summer Drink:)

The raw mango tangy drink or Aam ka panna in Indian language is a drink popular during our summer days. This drink is enjoyed among all age group as it cools the system and saves from scorching heat. A glass of this coolant is just the thing for warm days for anyone. CG suggest you this recipe if you find raw mangoes in your market. I am sure you will go for a second round of it.
Here we go for the recipe.
Raw mango- 2 medium size
Mint- 10 to 12 leaves
Sugar or jaggery(powdered)- 4 tablespoons
Roasted cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
Black pepper powder- 1 teaspoon
Water- Three and a half cups
Salt - According to taste
Black salt (optional) - As desired

Boil the raw mangoes in water for15 minutes. Remove the skin and take out the pulp when it completely cools down. In a blender add the mango pulp, mint leaves, sugar, roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder and salt. Run the mixer for few seconds till all the ingredients get crushed.  Then add the water and blitz until it becomes smooth.
Pour into serving glasses and add the ice cubes before serving. The tangy drink is ready to enjoy.

200th post at Crystal Grandeur!

This is my 200th post at Crystal Grandeur!  As a profound blogger it is a moment of joy for me as well.   It has been a wonderful journey all along.  Crystal Grandeur blossomed in November 2011 with Diwali & Christmas decors and it is my small world where my imagination and creations comes to reality.  I admire some of the blogs crossing 400+ posts. I appreciate and thank them for influencing others to do the same.  Speaking of my love for decors and styling I enjoy exploring different aesthetics and incorporate them in my decors and tablescapes. It helps me to keep moving forward  with new and fresh ideas  and doesn't let me be stagnant to one particular style.    For a nostalgia kick i share with you all... my delightful moments at Crystal Grandeur. Receiving appreciation for your creation in the form of comments always touches ones heart. (Sharing some of my past posts sweet comments posted by dear readers from across...

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M...
